Six drivers have been suspended by Eldora Speedway for their choice to forego the much-awaited homage to the late dirt track racer Scott Bloomquist, a move that has shocked the racing community. The celebration of Bloomquist’s extraordinary career and achievements to the sport was regarded as a highlight of the racing season. But the lack of these drivers has caused controversy and prompted speedway administrators to take quick action.
The Eldora Speedway administration and the racing community were not pleased with the suspended drivers’ decision to skip the homage, despite the fact that they were all elite racers in the dirt racing circuit. They gave personal reasons for their decision.
