The racing community was startled by the tragic loss of Kansas City’s top three drivers, who died in a horrific fire breakout today. The situation was heartbreaking. While the drivers were practicing for an impending event at a nearby racetrack, an incident took place. Early accounts state that the fire quickly spread around the pit area and was started by an unanticipated mechanical breakdown in one of the race cars.

The drivers were unable to flee as the flames spread swiftly despite the emergency services’ timely response.
