In a heartbreaking event, a 13-year-old girl tragically lost her life after a drowning incident at Discovery Cove, a popular marine-themed park in Orlando. The girl, identified as Anna Beaumont, was found unresponsive in one of the park’s pools late Tuesday morning. Despite efforts to save her, she passed away in the hospital the following day.

According to reports from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the cause of death was ruled as accidental drowning. There are no signs of foul play, but authorities are continuing their investigation to better understand the circumstances of the incident. Beaumont was visiting Discovery Cove, which is known for its family-friendly water activities and marine animal encounters, as part of a vacation.

Discovery Cove, which is a sister park to SeaWorld and Aquatica, has expressed their deep condolences to the girl’s family, stating, “Our thoughts are with the family during this incredibly difficult time.”

This tragedy has cast a shadow over what is typically a joyful, serene setting for visitors, and it serves as a reminder of the potential dangers associated with water activities.
