Recent years have seen a significant shift in the methamphetamine scene, especially with the rise of “new meth,” which is mostly made with phenyl-2-propanone (P2P). The potency and danger of this new meth is much higher than that of its predecessors, which has resulted in an alarming rise in overdose deaths and addiction rates.
In contrast to previous ephedrine-based meth, which frequently produced euphoria and enhanced sociability, P2P meth has been associated with serious neurological damage and symptoms like paranoia, hallucinations, and aggressive behavior. According to reports, new meth has extremely strong neurotoxic effects that can cause severe mental health problems like psychosis and memory loss.
