Los Angeles, CA – Bruce Frederick Springsteen, the American music icon, passed away yesterday at his New Jersey home, surrounded by family and closest friends. He was 75.
Springsteen’s death was confirmed by his management team, who stated that he died peacefully after a courageous battle with illness.
Born September 23, 1949, in Long Branch, New Jersey, Springsteen rose to fame with his distinctive heartland rock style, poignant lyrics, and energetic live performances. His discography includes 20 studio albums, 7 live albums, and 12 Grammy Awards.
