Mark Ingram Shares Honest Thoughts On Alvin Kamara Potentially Breaking His Saints Record

The 2024 campaign has completely fallen apart for the New Orleans Saints, with the one constant being some fantastic production from star running back Alvin Kamara. And as he continues to produce at a high level for his longtime team, he is closing in on a record held by his former running back partner in Mark Ingram. Ingram, who spent nine-and-a-half seasons of his career with the Saints, is the franchise’s leading rusher, having accrued 6,500 rushing yards during his time in New Orleans. However, he seems set to relinquish that title to Kamara in Week 10. Kamara currently has 6,489 rushing yards to his name with the Saints, so assuming nothing catastrophic happens against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, he will break Ingram’s record. When asked about Kamara closing in on his record, Ingram revealed that he’s “incredibly proud” of the work his former teammate has done. After winning their first two games in dominant fashion, New Orleans has proceeded to lose seven straight, with their Week 9 defeat against the Carolina Panthers resulting in head coach Dennis Allen getting fired. Yet through it all, Kamara has managed to remain incredibly productive for the Saints
