In addition to crushing Florida 49-17, both the Georgia Bulldogs and Miami Hurricanes were upset on Saturday. The Bulldogs were soundly beaten at Ole Miss 28-10. The ‘Canes couldn’t complete a comeback and lost to Georgia Tech in Atlanta 28-23. LSU, one of the four teams tied with Texas at the top of the SEC standings, were blown out at home by Alabama.
‘Upset Saturday’ four weeks ago was more chaotic, but ‘Separation Saturday’ was probably more meaningful to the Longhorns hopes of winning a national title. The Horns couldn’t have drawn up a better set of results in Week 11.
