Heartbreaking: Paul Stanley American musician Just Passed Away At the Aged of 72…see..more…Bengaluru progressive rock band The Pulse Theory’s new video “Memories Divine” focuses on the importance that the six-member band holds for their music. The song is taken from their 2023 album Coming Back Home.

Made by Bengaluru-based production house Zero Hour Productions, the video for the wistful tune starts off by showing The Pulse Theory band members resolving that they need to get away from the daily grind of their day jobs and responsibilities, driving out to a beach area where they mime performing, although without instruments. Vocalist Avishek Dasgupta probably had it the easiest, but he credits the filmmakers for directing and guiding “six non-actors” as part of the proces

At the end of it, the improvised performance sans instruments was translated to screen exactly as The Pulse Theory had in mind. Dasgupta says, “We had to ensure this section doesn’t appear gimmicky since the idea is to show how each member is truly feeling the essence of the song and almost envisaging themselves playing it on stage. Needless to say, the emotions and expressions while playing air instruments had to seem genuine, I think our love for the track ensured we pulled it off with no pretense

The outdoor footage is interspersed with glimpses of The Pulse Theory’s time on the road, most recently performing in Pune, Mumbai and Bengaluru as part of their Prog Encounters tour with fellow Bengaluru prog act Rainburn. Dasgupta counts it as a memorable time on the road, creating “everlasting memories” as they often do. He adds, “Late night Marine Drive hopping, discovering an underground Pune pub, traveling in a train with a 30 kg rack, an intra-band cards tournament… a lot of vignettes thrown in among two memorable gigs

There are more shows and another music video coming up this year. The Pulse Theory will soon announce shows in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram in late July, plus a “couple of exciting gigs” alongside Pune rock act Nemophilis in the second half of the year. Dasgupta confirms that their next music video off Coming Back Home will be for “Fallacy Of Mind,” the heavy-hitter closing track on the album. “On a different note, the seeds for a new album are being sprung and we intend to start working on new material soon,” the vocalist add
