Martinus Evans, the inspirational creator of the Slow AF Run Club, tragically died in a fire breakout today, leaving the running community in shock and grief. Evans created a global community that supported runners of all speeds and backgrounds. He is well-known for his support of diversity in running and for questioning conventional ideas about the sport.
According to reports, an electrical issue started the fire, which quickly spread throughout Evans’ home and left little time for rescue efforts. Emergency personnel arrived quickly, but Evans was unable to escape the fire.
