Rush fans have reason to celebrate as the legendary Canadian progressive rock band has unveiled a new vinyl box set, The Albums: 1989-1996, set for release on November 1, 2024. This limited edition collection, produced by Rhino Records, will feature the band’s first four Atlantic Records albums: Presto, Roll the Bones, Counterparts, and Test for Echo. Highlights from the box set include:
- Presto (1989): Rush’s 13th studio album marked a return to a more guitar-driven sound and reached Gold certification.
- Roll the Bones (1991): A commercial and critical success, it peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, with the title track climbing to No. 9 on the Mainstream Rock chart.
- Counterparts (1993): One of the band’s highest-charting albums, it reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and earned a Grammy nomination for “Leave That Thing Alone.”
- Test for Echo (1996): Featuring a harder sound, it topped the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart with its title track and hit No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
